Michael D. Weintraub, Founder, President and CEO

Prior to founding MindSet Marketing Solutions LLC, Michael was Executive Vice President and General Manager for the U.S. based Healthcare Analytics division of Wolters Kluwer Health (formerly NDCHealth). He led the sale of the NDCHealth division with The Blackstone Group for an all cash transaction of nearly $400M. Michael's responsibilities included overall executive leadership and management of the business unit. Michael is recognized as a leader in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry's application of anonymous patient level longitudinal data for sales compensation, targeting, marketing, and media execution.

Michael was also an independent consultant to such companies as HLTH Corporation (majority owner of WebMD), SDI Health, SK& A Information Services, Perform Cost Management (now Express Scripts, Inc) as well as having served in numerous roles at NDCHealth including being their Executive Vice President of Sales for the Information Management Solutions unit, and as creator and General Manager for NDC's Retail Pharmacy Informatics group.

In 1993, Michael was the Senior Vice President of Disease Management and Business Development at Value Health and Value Rx (now a part of Express Scripts, Inc.). His responsibilities included the development of business, strategic, product plans and initiatives for disease management programs in partnership with pharmaceutical manufacturers and managed care organizations.

Other previous positions were as President of Compliance America, an independent consulting organization focused on tactics and strategies for deploying patient medication management interventions. Michael was also the Senior Vice President of Sales for Macmillan Healthcare Information and Business Mailers Inc. His responsibilities included the sales of medical and patient education programs, single-sponsored publications, and healthcare database marketing (targeting) and direct mail services.

Michael joined Pharmaceutical Data Services (PDS) in 1982 and last served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, shortly after its formation by PCS Health Systems, Inc. and McKesson Corp. During Michael' s nine years with PDS, the company was recognized as one of the leading and most innovative suppliers of pharmaceutical information for market research and analysis. He is recognized as one of the industry leaders in the transformation of the U.S. pharmaceutical industry's application of prescriber level prescription data for sales force compensation and targeting. PDS was acquired by Walsh America in February, 1990, which was subsequently became Source Informatics in 1996, followed by an acquisition by NDCHealth in December, 1997.

Michael is also a pharmacist and received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Arizona in 1980. He has done graduate work at Dartmouth College, and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. Michael has authored several articles in pharmaceutical related publications and has been a speaker at several domestic and international conferences on managed care, disease management, and healthcare/pharmaceutical market research and sales management.
